50 Fenchurch Street is a major new development close to Fenchurch Street Station in the heart of the City of London. The proposed development consists of a new tower and a new hall for the Clothworkers. Chris managed three phases of evaluation of the site and prepared the documentation for both the below-ground and above-ground heritage assets which include Roman archaeological remains within Londinium, the churchyard of All Hallows Staining, the grade I listed All Hallows Church tower and the grade II listed Lambe’s Chapel crypt.

The new scheme will entail the entire excavation of the site, including the churchyard of All Hallows Staining, the dismantling of the crypt and its relocation within the new building and the underpinning of the church tower which will be sited within a new public open space with the Clothworkers Hall beneath.
